Underwater inspection & videography of reefs
During the underwater inspection, the technical staff of the company Hellenic Divers Chondroudakis I.S carries out all kinds of checks on the condition of the ship. Specifically, the reefs, the propeller, the suction and the damages of the ship are inspected in order to be issued certificates of airworthiness with the cooperation and the supervision of classification societies. There is also the possibility of taking photos and videos (Full HD_CCTV wired transmission / intercom and digital recording), upon request.
Underwater Reef Cleaning
Our company, with its state-of-the-art equipment, undertakes the underwater cleaning of the ship's reefs. The equipment consists of hydraulic systems with the help of brush karts and brushes. Underwater cleaning is done depending on the type of reefs and the equipment can be wire, rubber or plastic to protect the reef colors of ships.
Underwater suction / exhaust cleaning
In addition, we undertake the cleaning of aspirations, exports with the state-of-the-art special sea water jet which guarantees immediate, fast and perfect results.
Polishing, propeller cleaning, bow & stern trusters
The good condition of the propeller is an important element in the development of the ship's speed and in its smooth navigation. Thus we guarantee the quality of the result with the appropriate and state-of-the-art equipment (hydraulic wheel with diamond disk, special sea waterfall-cavetcleaner & brush-system) even in the most demanding cases.
Removal of foreign bodies
The company Chondroudakis diver undertakes the disengagement and removal of other foreign bodies (ropes, nets, tires or other types of waste) from the propeller, the anchor, the shaft, the handlebars, as well as the bow & stern thrusters.
Underwater work during tanking
The main tasks of our company during the tanking of ships are the underwater inspections of reefs, controls of propellers, rudders, sonar and odometers. As well as installation or removal of wood from the permanent tanks of the tank and various other work required.
Underwater sealing of cracks or small holes
In case of damage to the hull of the ship, usually due to its impact on a rocky area or in cases of damage, our experienced technical staff undertakes its emergency underwater sealing. Underwater sealing is usually achieved by installing plaxy steel (special marine sealant), wooden wedges or other techniques depending on the needs of each case.
Underwater sealing of suctions and exhausts
Suction / exhaust sealing is an effective technique, which allows any internal repair of the suction / exhaust, without having to enter a tank. Our diving team undertakes to carry out the above work with consistency and professionalism.
Underwater cutting and gluing of plates
Our specially trained personnel achieves the underwater cuts (oxygen, wheel) that take place mainly on the battered fins and on pieces of plates that need immediate replacement, also undertakes underwater welding for temporary or permanent repairs in cracks in the hull or anywhere else on the ship is required.
Underwater installation and replacement of anodes
We undertake the underwater installation and replacement of the anodes in the steel and wet plates of the ship.
Installation and repair of permanent anchorages
We inspect the anchorage for any damage and replace it if necessary.
Finding, lifting objects
Our diving team undertakes the finding and lifting of any objects from the bottom (using ROV if needed). Our company is in close collaboration with www.mariner.gr conducts research using sonar, magnetometers and sonar. These are jobs where performed only by professional divers who are certified by an accredited body.
Underwater measurements and thickness measurements
We undertake the underwater calibrations of the ships where they are made with state-of-the-art equipment (ultrasonic) that guarantees the exact result. Measurements on axles and steering wheels on request.
